Can you reuse coffee grounds?

Yes! Even after brewing, coffee grounds remain coarse in texture while still being packed with nutrients. Skip the trashcan and save those grounds for a few household uses:

Add them to your compost to fertilize your garden

Coffee grounds are packed with nutrients that overtime will turn your compost into rich soil. You can also apply coffee grounds directly to the root of some plants to promote growth!

Use them as a body scrub

The coarse texture of the grinds works as a natural exfoliant for your skin! The grounds also hold a bit of the caffeine left over from the brew, serving as a great antioxidant. Mix your grounds with water or coconut oil and you’re ready to scrub.

Make an espresso rub for meats

Pour an espresso, then use its fine grounds to make a dry rub. Add in espresso salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and Pink Himalayan salt to create the perfect combo of flavor.

Ditch the SOS and use them to clean pots and pans

SOS and the like can be full of harmful chemicals and usually don’t work without damaging pots and pans. Soak your pans in hot water and then use the grounds to create a rough, scrubbing paste to remove caked on food and stains.
